South Carolina has its first basketball date for the 2014-15 season.
The SEC announced on Wednesday that the Gamecocks will host Oklahoma State in the second Big 12/SEC Challenge, a return game from USC’s trip to Stillwater last season. The Cowboys and Gamecocks will meet on Dec. 6 at Colonial Life Arena.
It will be just the third matchup between the two teams. The series is tied at 1, the Cowboys winning last year. A time and network will be announced later, although all games in the Challenge will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
Other known USC opponents, but not dates, are home games against Baylor and Clemson and a game at Marshall. The Gamecocks will also participate in the Charleston Classic from Nov. 20-23.
The rest of the Big 12/SEC Challenge:
Dec. 3: Auburn at Texas Tech
Dec. 4: Arkansas at Iowa State, LSU at West Virginia, Baylor at Vanderbilt, TCU at Ole Miss
Dec. 5: Florida at Kansas, Texas at Kentucky, Missouri at Oklahoma
Dec. 6 Oklahoma State at South Carolina, Kansas State at Tennessee
