— Jadeveon Clowney’s stardom jumped another notch Wednesday evening with an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”

Fallon introduced Clowney as the “superstar defensive end from the University of South Carolina” and had the two-time All-American on his couch for a short visit during the show.

Fallon asked Clowney what he planned to do with the millions he will earn Thursday night when he is selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

“I am going to buy (my mom) a house,” he said, to resounding applause.

Fallon also asked Clowney if he expected to be the Houston Texans’ pick.

“I hope so,” Clowney said. “They have the first pick. I hope they pick me.”

After marveling at Clowney’s 4.53-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Fallon asked Clowney what he thought Fallon would run in the 40-yard dash.

“I’d say 5.5 flat,” Clowney said. “I am hoping. You’ve got some speed. You look like you can run.”

Clowney then timed Fallon running 40 yards in an office hallway - he ran a 6.9. Earlier in the show, Clowney was introduced standing beside Fallon on the stage.

“Jadeveon played for the South Carolina Gamecocks,” Fallon said. “When I saw him in the dressing room backstage, I thought, ‘That’s one of the biggest Gamecocks I have ever seen.’ ”

Clowney appeared in a red and black Puma jacket just as his new shoe deal with the company was announced.

"I just want to be a part of something different," Clowney told ESPN.com about the Puma deal. "Why not change it up?"
