USC to get visit from DeBerry Jr.

May 8, 2014

Highly recruited LB Ricky DeBerry Jr. of Richmond, VA recently cut his list of over 60 offers down to 20. USC and Clemson both made the shorter list. He has been to Clemson and now he has set May 17th as a visit date for USC.

DeBerry told Rivals.com in a video interview at his school that he has taken visits to Virginia, Virginia Tech and Ohio State in recent weeks. He also plans to visit Arizona State and Miami this summer.

DeBerry said he wants to visit more schools and then cut his list to eight before August. He said Virginia, Virginia Tech and North Carolina are certain to make his final eight. "They are close to home, I have a good relationship with the staffs and I can see playing at all three," DeBerry said.

Others in his final 20 include Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan State, Nebraska, Florida, UCLA and Southern Cal.
