Georgia receiver plans to learn more about USC

May 12, 2014

WR Jayson Stanley (6-3 205) of Fairburn, GA has emerged as a major prospect this spring with over 20 offers. Clemson and USC are on that list along with Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Tennessee, Cal, Purdue, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Louisville, Kansas State and others. He has not yet narrowed his list.

Stanley has visited Clemson, Georgia, Auburn and Alabama and he plans to visit Ohio State by the end of the month. He's also going back to Alabama and he plans to visit USC as well.

Clemson was one of his early offers and his interest in the Tigers is high. "I've been there once and I am interested," Stanley said. "I definitely like the offense and the atmosphere."

Stanley said he doesn't know as much about USC but he has a good reason for wanting to learn more. "My dad's a big Steve Spurrier fan."

Clemson, Georgia and Auburn are the three Stanley said he's thinking about the most but he doesn't want to call them favorites. He wants to make his decision over the summer or by when school starts back.

"I'm looking for a pro-style offense though either one I could do well in, but it's the one that will make me a better player," Stanley said.

Last season Stanley caught 41 passes for 817 yards and 16 touchdowns.
