South Carolina football's postseason possibilities are all over the map - literally - according to the "way-too-early" projections released by several national media groups.

The predictions released Friday by CollegeFootballNews.com have the Gamecocks facing Oregon in the Rose Bowl. The matchup in Pasadena, Calif., is one of two College Football Playoff games. The site projects the Ducks to move on and play Florida State in the College Football Playoff Championship in Arlington, Texas.

If not the Rose Bowl, the site says the Gamecocks are the No. 1 other option for the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans (currently predicted as Alabama vs. Florida State).

ESPN predictions released last month have USC facing Florida State in the Orange Bowl in Miami (Brett McMurphy) or going to back to Tampa and the Outback Bowl to play Nebraska (Mark Schlabach).

CBS Sports' Jerry Palm in May predicted a Peach Bowl matchup in Atlanta for the Gamecocks against Cincinnati.

Before the bowl season starts, South Carolina will meet Alabama in the Dec. 6 SEC Championship Game in Atlanta, according to an annual vote published earlier this week by the league's 14 football sports information directors.
