Editor's note: Auburn has a rich history of sending players to the NFL. With that in mind, beat writer Ryan Black takes a look at each former Tiger that finds himself on an NFL roster (or should be once free agency and training camps shake out). The series will begin with those who have already been in the league for more than one season and conclude with the latest crop of players to land in the NFL, either through the draft or as an undrafted free agent.

Ryan White, Green Bay Packers

Position: Cornerback

Drafted: Undrafted; signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in May

Career stats: N/A; rookie season

2014 outlook: Like so many of the other undrafted Auburn signees, White will need to have a standout showing in training camp to make Green Bay's 53-man roster. If not, staying with the Packers' practice squad isn't necessarily a bad thing for White, as it means any injury that occurs in the secondary could lead to White moving up. And it is precisely his versatility that made White so attractive to Green Bay in the first place. He's a cornerback by trade, but he also knows how to play safety. In addition, he played quarterback in high school and served as the Tigers' primary holder on field goals and extra points in his final three years on the Plains. "The Packers definitely know that I was holding kicks, and I told them I was open to doing anything," White told the blog Cheesehead TV before freely stating his objective. "I'm here to make the team; I'm here to do anything possible to make the team." Owning that kind of mind-set won't hurt.
